Bidrage med feedbackThe atmosphere at this restaurant is fantastic, with all the staff being very friendly. The chicken here is the best in town, and they don't hold back on the spice levels - I was in tears from the heat of the "burn baby burn" level. Despite still feeling the burn, the chicken was delicious and juicy with a crispy exterior. I brought my kids along, and they were able to enjoy a non-spicy southern style sandwich and tenders.
Wow! The best chicken sandwich hands down. All other restaurants need to step up their game. The tables, counters, and floors were spotless. There were two easy-to-use ordering kiosks at the counter. The decor was modern, bold, and clean, with celebrity mugshots covering the walls. The soda fountain area was clean and fully stocked. The restaurant temperature was just right and the customers were diverse in age and ethnicity, mostly in groups of three or more. There was a steady flow of customers. Since it is located downtown, there is no parking lot so you will need to find a nearby parking garage or meter. The staff was friendly, confident, and efficient. They were casually dressed and well-groomed. The food presentation was excellent, with perfect temperature and texture. All dishes came in carryout containers, which was a nice touch. The chicken sandwich was phenomenal, juicy, with crispy breading and bursting with flavor. The slaw and pickles made it even better. The bun was delicious and soft. I chose the hot option and it was perfect. The collard greens were so tasty, I could eat a whole gallon. The mac and cheese was creamy and topped with delicious cornbread crumbs for a touch of sweetness. The Moon Pie was huge and not too sweet, which I loved. I tried a few sodas from the fountain and they were all fantastic. This meal was worth every penny. I can't wait to come back and try more sodas, the flaming hot Cheetos side, and a spicier chicken sandwich. Note: they do not offer parking validation for the cityscape parking garage, so make sure to buy something from CVS on your way out. Thank you Monroe's, see you again soon!
I visited this restaurant while in Dallas and was extremely disappointed. The staff was rude and stingy with utensils and sauces. The kitchen was open with no one wearing hair nets, and I found a long black hair in my fries. The food was decent but overpriced, with a chicken sandwich for $12 and an extra $4 for fries and sauce. The music was too loud and I couldn't hear the person next to me. The only positives were the soda and sandwich. I would not recommend this place.
We’ve visited a few of these unique chicken sandwich businesses in the past few years and this one really stood out. The food was delicious and was quickly prepared. The kick sauce was amazing too!Food: 5/5
The food is really good. We got a whatta cluck chicken sandwich, and we were called up to be warned of spice. Husband loves spicy food and was all for it. He loved how much it burned and had a hard time eating, but ultimately, thought it was outstanding. It's super spicy, though, so be warned. I got the hot tenders, but honestly, flavor wise and quality amazing, but no spice whatsoever to me. Next time, i will try extra hot!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options
