Bidrage med feedbackA great choice for a lovely dinner on a Saturday night! I would definitely recommend a reservation and getting there early because parking in the garage is pretty limited. The food was super good and very fresh! The fish wings were my favorite, they were just cooked so that the salmon and yellowtail collars were fall apart tender and the generous cuts of sashimi were so so fresh! It also seemed like they took great care in preparing each dish and everything came out perfectly.
I have tried almost every Sushi spot in San Antonio and Shiro stands above and beyond everyplace I have been to. Every single piece of Sushi was super fresh and just melts in your mouth, it is honestly going to be hard to go anywhere else after having been to Shiro. The prices definitely reflect the quality and freshness difference compared to other places and is 110% worth it.
This place is always amazing and by far the best sushi I've had in San Antonio. The staff is so friendly and the food is incredible. The chef takes such pride in his food and it feels like edible art.
Absolutely amazing!!!I’ve been to this place many times. But I don’t want to share it cuz I’m afraid it’ll get too crowded. Please forgive my selfishness . If you can ear raw fish, I definitely recommend trying their sashimi mix. Every pieces of fish melts in my mouth. Can’t really describe cuz it’s super fresh, like they’re still alive ?. To be able to get this level of freshness in San Antonio is a dream to me. I’ve been to many sushi places but Shiro is just next level. Their wasabi is the authentic one, grinned from the wasabi root. Be aware of their strong taste. Do ask them to recommend their special seafood of the day, they’ll take note of them in a paper. Do try the special ones if you can. I also try other cooked dishes in their menu but nothing can beat the explosive flavor of their sashimis. I’m about to leave San Antonio, and Shiro is the only one thing I’ll miss ?.
Beautiful restaurant right above the river. I sat out in the patio and had a great view. The food was amazing and so fresh tasting. I started with the crab croquettes which were good but not noteworthy. I had the drunken whale sake which was light and fresh tasting and served with cute sake glasses. My friend and I split 3 specialty rolls: the raging bull, I choose you, and the playmate. We enjoyed them all but the playmate was both of our favorite then the raging bull (spicy! and our least favorite was the I choose you roll. The wait staff was nice but the service was so slow, not sure if it is always like that but if it is expect and lengthy meal. I highly recommend this place, you can tell the ingredients are high quality.
