Xochitl - Philadelphia

My friend and I came to Xochitl when we were visiting Philly from NYWe had a reservation, but had about a 10 minute wait when we got there.

Came here tonight for restaurant week and to celebrate 6 months of marriage.

The food was good, the service was good - the Guacamole was above average. My issue - which will cause me to probably go elsewhere in the future was their

The atmosphere was good, the noise level was ok, the food was missing. The service was very good, nice waiters and reception! The sweetness of the sauces in our Mexican food was very different and not good! Even the salsa for the fries was more like spaghetti. How do you mess up something simple like salsa? We think the worst was the enchilada sauce, sweet sauce, cinnamon doesn't go with enchiladas, I don't care if it's California, it doesn't taste good, sorry !!!!!!

I love this place! Your salsa is excellent and the mole is wonderful too. I eat here every time I am in Laguna Beach.
