Van Leeuwen Ice Cream - Philadelphia

The Sicilian pistachio and vanilla are absolutely delicious! 10/10 creamy

I meet vegan ice in every city I go, and that remains one of my favorites. I was in the new yorker filiale, but was pleased to see it in philly, and looks as if they extend to many cities nationwide. very friendly service, I asked for a recommendation, and he loved the cookies and cream with caramel, and it was from this world. it was free to jump on Tuesday, so I added some vegan hot fudge for free!

The vegan ice is ingenious, although they note that some of them have a very strong cocose overtone from cocos milk. the ice is very rich, so they might want to stick with a less screeching than they planned! haha

The large part of the menu is not milk. clearly marked what vegan is, including toppings, they ask for the cones. waffel one is not vegan.

They have plenty of vegan ice cream choices and toppings!
