Joe's Steaks Soda Shop - Philadelphia

This is genuinely one of the best cheesesteaks I've ever tasted! I ordered a large steak with extra provolone and fried onions (around $16), and it was fantastic. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection, with a generous portion of meat that exceeded what you typically get at other places. The meat was evenly spread along a fresh roll, topped with just the right amount of cheese and onions. The restaurant has a charming old-fashioned walk-up window on Passyunk. Overall, a wonderful sandwich—definitely deserving of 5 stars!

The cheesesteaks are fantastic! It's quicker to order ahead for pickup rather than waiting outside for takeout. The place also looks really clean.

While it's not the best cheesesteak I've ever had, it is still quite good. The ladies who run the place are fabulous!

Parking took a minute. Once we were inside, the staff were friendly, fast and helpful. Food came out quick. Bread was amazing. Portions are 8 or 10 in for regular bread. There is a gluten free bread option. We were grateful for that. We ordered one of each. Prices are good. Many fries options but not as crispy as I hoped-for. Definitely will visit again for the sandwiches.

Fine food, loud atmosphere, nice waiters and waitresses. Nice diner vibe.
