L'Albizzia - Pezens

We were here earlier and it was a good French basic kitchen, but after a walk through the village of Vide Grenier it was time for lunch and we went with reasonable expectations. We were offered the choice of only boeuf bourguignon, which was good, but my wife does not eat beef, and was offered instead of a piece of baked fish, fresh from the freezer. No appetizer or dessert has been offered, but the price, 18€ per head what you would expect to pay near for three courses. We won't go back there.

Do not let yourself be amazed by the lack of plush seats and imagination tablecloths simply the great food and friendly service. Add a very reasonable cost to what really French country cooking at its best. The Cassoulet is cooked to a local recipe and is just the best Cassoulet you ever have. This is the REAL France on its unpredictable best.

We rented.n apartment near this restaurant. Since Sunday night was very few places to eat. Owner of aptartment recommended this restaurant as good food, fair price. 5of use went to an early dinner thanks to the owner of L'Albizzia. Limited menus on chalkboard. Had a choice of foie grass or oysters as a starter. 3Foie grass/ 2 oysters (8 each). The foie grass was homemade, excellent and enough for 6!! The main course was Cassoulet or Lasagna. 5 Cassoulet. Back homemade, lots of duck and sausage and excellent taste. 3 pitches (each 50c) of the house Rose. Homemade apple cake for dessert. Great again. In total for this feast for 5 were 95 euros or less than 20 euros. Can usually not get a starter of foie grass for less than 16 euros!!! Add this great meal to a friendly, helpful and smiling owner and you have the REAL FRANCE. Small town and shield says sports bar with a smaller L'Albizzia. Outside and inside nothing special and as a tourist you would probably not stop. Beautiful terrace area if it is beautiful weather. Nothing nice here except great food at a small price. Was so good, my wife and I went back to lunch the next day. Menus like last night. Had 2 foie grass (again enough for several) and 2 charcuterie and a pitcher of rose total price 25 Euro!!!! Again served by friendly smile owner. If you're in the area, don't miss it.

De retour d'une balade en VTT nous nous arrêtons pour boire une bonne bière... et oh surprise il n'y a pas que la bière qui est bonne... accueil super, a l'ancienne le patron nous propose un cassoulet qui s'avère excellent.Nous mangeons à sa table... un super moment, nous reviendrons !!

Si vous cherchez l'authenticité, vous frappez à la bonne porte.Cuisine du terroir, la patronne aux fourneaux, le patron au bar et aux tables.Ce qui n'est pas négligeable c'est le petit hôtel faisant partie du même établissement. (les apéros prolongés...)Parking sécurisé pour motards.
