Bidrage med feedbackSince I was 18 I came here when we were out in 1997 on the nearby Knapp hill. nice to say, it hasn't lost any charm. the pub has seen little changes in the course of the years, but the better and the camping site is now more purpose than it was once, again for the better. I have read reviews from some that it was as if it were to come to a common, well they obviously missed the point and the general spirituality of the place and are probably best in their caravan and camping club sites. this has a greater charm and personality, but haters will never understand. the pub foods are still as generously cut and tasty as it was in the 90s and the staff is friendly and helpful.
What a place! beautiful pub, beautiful plots, beautiful people. the side was clean and the host were super friendly. there is a playground for children and dogs welcome, but must be kept on leads. the in front pub has premium food, wee and spirituose and the food was cooked to home and really delicious I had the whitebait and the chilli con carne, and my friend had the barkburger who looked delicious!
Beautiful place for a pub. it also has its own camping site. it also makes good music and live bands play there. I had my 21st birthday here and we had an excellent time many years ago.
Stumbled upon this place quite by accident. Can't see it from the road bit it is worth negotiating the speed bumps along the lane. It was a boiling hot summer's day when we visited and we found a nice table in the shade of a tree. Gorgeous spot by the canal. Nice pint of IPA and a good meal for a reasonable price. All good.
Canal side Inn. Very good food. Nice campsite with showers, washing up facilitues and even washing machines and dryers. Lenny and Skylar put in a lot of effort to keep everyone happy campers. Electric available.
