Thunder Bay Grille Pewaukee

Excellent salad bar. Ordered a steak for $46 and was excited. Over cooked a little but I could handle that. Bland as could be. There was more seasoning on the asparagus. Even after adding salt and pepper it was still very bland for a steak. I even asked someone else at our table to verify that it wasn't me We did tell the waitress, sorry it's one of our newer items. ???? When we received our bill we were charged for an item that we didn't receive. They removed that but nothing for the steak which they took back.

My wife and I went there for dinner with the intention of checking the place out, as we were potentially going to book a room for a wedding shower. We thought we would see what it was like beforehand. We were seated quickly, but then had to wait 15 minutes for our waitress to show up, and take our orders for drinks. When she returned, we ordered an appetizer and our dinners. Again, we waited a very long time for our food to show up despite the fact that the dining room was almost completely empty. She brought our salads first, again, followed by a long, wait, and then eventually our main Course. Our appetizer was never brought out, and when I mentioned it to our waitress, she asked if someone else had not brought it for us, saying that there was a big party going on in a different part of the restaurant and that the kitchen was very busy. She assured us that we would not have to pay for the appetizer that we never got. How kind. When our main courses were done, we sat around again for a long time before bringing our check. We were never offered refills on our drinks or asked if we would like dessert. Clearly, we will not be booking a room for the bridal shower, and it is very unlikely that I will ever return there for another meal. The food was average at best. In 35 years of marriage, it was the first time that I had ever seen my wife use salt on her food, saying that she had to give it some sort of flavor. In fairness, when I spoke with the manager, explaining the disappointment we had in our meal, I think he offered to pick up the tab, which was not the intention of the conversation, and his polite offer was refused. if I could give the service zero stars, I would have.

Horrible experience tonight. Service was extremely slow, worst we’ve had. Restaurant was empty. Took 20 mins to take our order. Calamari was not good, seemed frozen, small portion. The worst part was we practically had to beg to pay just to get out of there. Our server was not attentive the entire time and we had to ask two other workers just to find her to get the check. Prices were outrageous compared to quality and service. To top it off it was my birthday celebration. Sad because this place used to be so much better. We won’t go back.

We had 10 am Sunday brunch reservations. When we walked up to go in the restaurant there was a big cardboard box that was laying on the sidewalk that needed to be removed. Walking hazard. There was 4 family members in our party. We got our food and started to eat. The food was ice cold!! The sausage was over cooked and the cheesey potatoes were uncooked, they crunched when you took a bite. We were very displeased, we did talk to the manager and she removed $25.00 from our bill. But we left hungry and very unsatisfied. I can say the salad bar looked delicious but who wants salad at 10 am. We alway go to the Fox Hounds for brunch but wanted to try something local. I've eaten at the Thunderbay Grill before and was always pleased. But after brunch I dought if I'll ever go back. If you go for brunch I hope you have a better experience than we did.

I ordered a burger cooked medium, but it was well done. My friends ordered the Friday fish fry and loved it. I was too hungry to wait for them to cook my burger correctly so I just ate it. The fries were good. If I return I won't order the burger again.
