Golden Skillet - Petersburg

Me and my husband got 2 of the 3 piece chicken dinner which in total costed about $25 with tax. the fried chicken was huge and very soggy and greasy , not edible u threw my food away and it made me nauseous for an hr after eating a bite of everything . the mac and cheese tasted like they put water on it and the mashed potato’s with gravy had lumps all in it from the gravy. will never go back to this place again. the guy that worked there was nice but i cant believe he would give the soggy greasy chicken to a customer smh and no i didnt check my food until i got home . my husband didnt eat any of his food

Chicken ordered the day before for a family event. Ready at stated time entering the door. Was enjoyed by all. Ty

I don't think this place is even open anymore. I googled restaurants near me while passing through. I chose Golden Skillet because I haven't been to one since I was a kid, so I was excited to see that they still existed. Google maps led me to the place. It said Golden Skillet on the outside sign, but the sign was not on and no one was there inside nor any cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night around 7:45 pm 8:00 pm, so it wasn't real late or anything. Google showed they were open, but they were not.

Great chicken place to eat. Your food is prepared when requested. That is best way any fast food restaurant should be.
