Cafe at the Concert Hall - Perth

This visit was a poor way to begin our night at the concert hall. Wanting a meal before the show we went to the concert hall cafe where we were offered a relatively low standard meal in a cardboard bowl and supplied with bamboo cutlery. Surely we can expect a much better set up at such a major entertainment venue in Perth.

The Cafe at the Perth Concert Hall is open before and after concerts. Many concert goes like to have a coffer and cake as part of their outing to the Concert Hall. The coffee is good, so is the cake.

We've eaten here twice before a concert and probably won't go again. The menu is very limited and the portions are small. The food is tasty enough, but completely over priced for what it is. Three mains with one side salad, a bottle of average pinot and two coffees came in at $180. The service is hit and miss; on our first visit our mains took ages so we were convinced to order bread while we waited, which then arrived well after our mains. On this visit the poor elderly couple sitting behind us sat for about an hour and their mains actually never arrived; they left hungry! Think we'll go for the buffet next time.
