Mains Of Taymouth Courtyard

We had lunch and dinner at this restaurant the food is of very good quality the staff are very friendly, you can just go in for a drink or have food in either the restaurant or the bar it is advisable to book a table...as it gets very busy you can book either by ringing them or book online, dogs are allowed

Just returned from the courtyard, what a major disappointment, if we had had some sort of food in the cottage we are staying in I would have left. As it was we ate our child size meals and just complained so much that they did...the right thing and didn’t charge. Now we have been frequenting this restaurant since it opened many years ago and visited it last August twice with family and absolutely no complaints at all from anyone, talk about shrinkflation well this is it , small plates and children’s portions , my grandchildren would have been disappointed with the quantity never mind the quality. Back in area in few weeks time but will not be going there. McDonalds do better burgers and I don’t eat them.

We had dinner in the restaurant area. The menu is limited and is the same in the bar. Our starters were pate which she loved and mine was haggis and black pudding bon bons which for were poor. We both had the steak frités....The steak was a piece of flat iron. Yes flat iron! It was basically ok. Chips we're good and we were happy with this. Wine was a very light house red. Dessert was not brilliant but overall we enjoyed our meal. Two nights later we ate in the bar. We had burger and chicken burger. My burger was fine. Very good presentation and tasty. Chips we're very good . The chicken was spoiled by being over slathered in a spicy sauce. Drinks were super expensive. Loud music blaring in a large mostly empty space. Would not recommend the bar.

Came here to celebrate our anniversary. Received fantastic service from the waitresses, they were so friendly and helpful. The meal and drinks were very tasty and we really enjoyed our evening here.

Had a wonderful meal last evening, friendly staff, food excellent, beer cold, what more could you want. A+ place to relax
