Flat Iron Tavern - Perth Amboy

Burger had no taste. Had a Dixie cup full of soda for $2.50! Service was good but the new owners are not keeping it up like the previous ones. Men's room had graffiti on walls and was not too clean. Sadly this Perth Amboy landmark has seen better days. Won't be returning.

If your a man of a certain age who has soldier the responsibility of his God Country Family and doesn't mind sitting in a Bar as Worn as his favorite pair of boots you'll find the atmosphere Warm and the Beer Fresh.

Ahh the Flat. Every town should have a bar like this. I am so thankful that I have been introduced to this place as it is quickly becoming one of my favorite bars in the area. Forget fancy martinis and craft beer. You aren't getting it here. This is the kind of place where you come for a burger and a cold beer. Speaking of burgers, this is among the best you will ever have. Don't believe me? Order the Lumberjack and then come talk to me. If we weren't friends before, we are now. If you're lucky enough to come in on a night that Liz is working, you are in luck as she is one of the best bartenders that I have ever had. I swear she has eyes in the back of her head and knows as soon as you have an empty glass. This is as local as a local bar can get, meaning it can be packed or dead depending on when you visit as a lot of people stop by when their shifts end. Not a bad place to unwind. Come for the burger, order a green tea shot or two, play some tunes on the jukebox and get to know the guys and girls on both sides of the bar. I can guarantee it will be a fun night out.

Their bartenders are totally incompetent and RUDE!!! Messed up drink orders and overcharged our bill. I witnessed a bartender drinking behind the bar! I will not be returning.

Stopped by here today to get a drink. They had fresh caught mahi mahi tacos. They were slammin. Friendly staff. Good drinks!
