Holdgates Fish - Perth

I enjoy the macaroni but the fish is beautiful and crispy and the chips are full of potatoes and not full of grease. I think it's the best chippie in perth. they can call the hodgates fish and chips bar and enter their order so it is ready for them as soon as they get in. this saves them to cook on them, as they wait for their order in the wait. You know, it's fresh food you get because they cook it when they order. there are only chips. they can use cash or credit card payments. there is a seating area that you can also sit in the restaurant located on the back of the hodgates fish. personal nice and friendly service with a smile

This is still the best fish and chip shop in Perth! I left Scotland 11 years ago, so it was wonderful to see them still in business during my visit. I had to try the deep-fried broken burger soup and enjoyed it at customs. I really hope they continue to thrive, and I’ll definitely make sure to return to Perth.

Is that the best fish sauce? If not, it’s definitely among the top contenders! Trust me, I’ve tried my fair share of fish dishes. The food is freshly cooked, so be prepared to wait—it’s absolutely worth it. The chips are sheer perfection, and the squid was incredibly delicate and flavorful. Wow!

I usually go to my regular fish and chip shop, but since it was closed, I decided to try Holdgates on a whim. What a delightful surprise! The fish was freshly and perfectly cooked, and the crispy scallops were delicious as well. I will definitely be coming back.

Probably the best fishing and chips in the city.
