Cucinella's Brick Oven Pizzeria - Perry

We travel full-time and eat out a lot, actually too much. So, we eat great food most of the time. This was not one of those times. On a positive note, I will say the young lady behind the counter was pleasant. First $30 for a veggie pizza is over the top expensive, in my opinion. Then we ordered ice water, she pointed to the soft drink dispenser. I filled two Styrofoam cups with ice and water. They charged $1.50 each!!! Nope, if I had known, I would have left the restaurant. She said nothing about charging for water cups. (I hate Styrofoam! Now the pizza.....It arrived piping hot and was unceremoniously dumped on a pizza stand. No plates, no pizza server, no napkins, nothing. At first, it looked ok. But the crust was burnt on the bottom and soggy on the top. This is not a wood-fired brick oven pizza. This was cooked in an electronic oven in the back. No one ever stopped by to see how our meal was, if we needed anything, etc. My suggestion to the owners is to work on the dough and sauce recipes. Those are your foundation. Also, your oven temp is off. Pizza should be crisp, not soggy on the top and burnt on the bottom.

We had a terrible experience at the restaurant. First, the pizza was ridiculously overpriced. We paid $41 for a large supreme pizza and two 20 oz. drinks. Second, the service was underwhelming. We dined-in and didn't receive a serving spatula for the pizza. And third, the pizza was terrible. The pizza was so greasy and soggy that it fell apart when we picked it up to eat it. We had to eat the pizza with a fork. Food: 1 Service: 1
