Taverne de Maitre Kanter - Perpignan

Menu at average price consisting of a small entrance and a main dish. the salad entrance was correct and the main dish was also good. nothing special to comment, good place for lunch but do not expect something spectacular.

Very good value for money.. there was the greatest glass of wine of all time for 3 euros. Nice to sit in the sun. I didn't eat. But food looks good.

Unlike many commentators yesterday, I had a very good time in this restaurant. service was extremely good, people spoke well English and were very helpful. we even stayed smoking a cigarette with the staff, because we were there until the closing hour, and we talked with them in all relaxed. The food is good enough. We ate fish and mussels. Both were good. The fish was well grilled and fresh. prices were correct. so overall a good place to visit. it is located in the center, so you can take a drink in bars a few minutes walk from there.

It was a Sunday night in perpignan and many places were closed. decided to try this place which is in a beautiful position overlooking the castillet which is a very imposing part of the ramparts of the old town. The staff came to sit down and disappeared! We both decided to have a hamburger but there was only one left and we chose fish for the other meal. Then we waited and waited again. When it arrived, the portions were huge, the hamburger had potato cakes instead of bread and a lot of bacon and cheese completely insipid. It wasn't very hot and I felt he was sitting on the service until someone came to pick him up. There was a gigantic pile of mccain chips. the size and quantity of the meal were overwhelming and we had waited so long. the fish dish was not too bad and was served with something like ratatouille which is a rather scented side and submerged the taste of the fish. We were very disappointed with all the meals, long waiting and service. We won't go back.

Brought a group of friends from the UK here for dinner, asked the young man who served a table for 7 people, he was so rude and reluctant to sit down. he almost put the table and the chair in place to make room for 7. the person in charge here must have a serious word with his staff on the right ways - I do not look for an exceptional service when I eat, but I do not expect a rude service.
