Cafe Brasserie de la Nesque

Une ambiance un peu vieillotte et particulière, une cuisine correcte mais sans plus, rien si on ne mange pas de viande !Il y a mieux au niveau brasserie...

Excellent plat du jour, abordable, copieux et surtout avec de délicieuses frites maison !Les patrons sont charmants.

I first visited this café a year ago and found it pretty average. Unfortunately on my latest visit I encountered the waiter from hell. Despite my good working grasp of French he pretended not to understand my order - something I thought most French people had grown out of years ago. Anyway, I eventually got my warm coffee.The couple at the next table fared less well as the lady was presented with her coffee in a dirty cup.There are other very good cafés in Pernes - much more attractive than Café Brasserie de la Nesque. Need I say more?

Repas de qualité, service rapide, les gérants sont souriants et c'est un bar très convivial, où tout le monde se retrouve le soir pour discuter de leur journée entre amis. Je recommande très fortement ce bar-restaurant.

We arrived in Pernes on a Saturday rather late and although this brasserie does not currently do food in the evening they kindly provided us with a tasty snack. The cafe bar is run by a lovely Scottish lady who is fluent in French and her chef husband. It has the feel of an authentic French bar and you will see it is frequented by locals. The drinks are very reasonably priced. We don't normally eat our main meal at lunchtime when they serve a great priced set menu d'jour but we made an exception and we're not disappointed. I have given it top marks because for the money you get a great meal and the welcome we had on the six occasions we visited was very warm
