Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I celebrated her birthday at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and delicious, cooked to perfection with just the right portion sizes. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, as they looked as good as they tasted. Special thanks to our server, Mary, who ensured we had everything we needed and our meals were timed perfectly. I would highly recommend Fin Fork for anyone looking for a high-quality seafood restaurant that won't break the bank.
We came for the Saturday brunch who was advertised on their website for 19,95, but was actually $24,95 when we were there. it was just okay. I got the rubber bo star and it tasted like dead and had a whole cloak and a piece of sausage. just okay, it wouldn't eat again. then the fried garnel and fryed with hushpuppies. the garnels were large, but very bland. the fries were good, but again it was just a simple fries. the hushpuppies were very overdue and almost burned. such a waste of a jubilee dinner. will not be back.
This is a long review, but everything was so great that I wanted to comment on the entire dinner experience. Our server was Andrea and she did a great job despite it being a very busy Valentine's Day weekend Saturday night. We had a fabulous dinner to celebrate our Anniversary. We ordered from the special Valentine's Day menu, which was a four course dinner complete with a glass of champagne at the end to top it all off. I started with the baked Cajun Oysters, which were the best oysters I have ever had. The Tasso cream cheese sauce is truly delicious. My wife had the Bayou Blue Crab Bisque, which was also very good. Then we both had the Steakhouse Wedge Salad. The blue cheese and bacon makes this a great salad. For the entre I had the Cajun Filet. This is where the WOW really comes in. I ordered the filet rare and it came out perfectly cooked. This was the most tender and flavorful steak I have had in a long time. They use the same sauce as the Cajun oysters and it really compliments the taste of the steak. The potatoes and beans paired very nicely with the steak. My wife ordered the Grouper Pontchartrain, which she said was excellent. The grouper was tender and had a slightly crispy crust, which was just right. For dessert we both ordered the Key Lime pie, which was truly yummy. They drizzle a light raspberry sauce on the plate to give an extra combination of flavors. Ending with two glasses of champagne for a Anniversary toast. Rarely have I been to a restaurant where each course tasted so good and the detail in the presentation of the plate was very elegant. Well done chef!!!
I took my son out on Wednesday, January 12 for his 24th birthday and thought that trying a new experience at Fin and Fork would be the perfect night. As he is vegan, he was able to try a sushi dish that was modified, and I had a bowl of gumbo and crab claws. My daughter ordered the fried oyster platter. Below is a picture of the gumbo which was more like gravy with a few pieces of shrimp and sausage. The room was far too thick and did not have traditional gumbo seasonings. This is a dish I most definitely would not try again. The crab claws were served nice and hot and were what I expected a crab claw to be. my son appreciate it the changes he was able to make so he could enjoy his sushi dinner. My daughter had the best meal of the night and was given much more than she could eat. The oysters were fried perfectly, and came with fries and a salad. The salad was made of mixed greens and was a meal within itself. She really enjoyed it. Although we did not have the best food experience, we thoroughly enjoyed the service that relatively newly hired Jacob provided. He made my son‘s birthday definitely worth the trip. He has personality plus and we were never left wanting for his attention. For us, he was the best part of Fin and Fork. We are definitely willing to give it another try by selecting different menu options.
Great steak and seafood restaurant that tries a little too hard to be fancy. The steaks are delightful, bedded down in unbelievable mashed potatoes and crisp green beans. The seafood is great, with a leaving towards coconut and Cajun tour treatments. I've had the coconut shrimp and the Ponchartrain, both were excellent. The salads were generous, with feta, olives and grapes tomatoes (the balsamic vinaigrette was great, the ranch was ranch). My wife loves the crab dip appetizer, can't stop eating it even though it's really too spicy for her. Every dish is festooned with edible flowers and curled lettuce leaves; it's pretty, but distracting, and you have to spend some time coordinating your eating around all the garnishments and decorations on there plate.Desserts were good, service was good even though the restaurant was slammed. As of early 2022, still not so busy that you ever have to wait on a table, but that may no longer be there case as word gets around. Not recommended for children or teenagers; they just won't appreciate it.
