Bidrage med feedbackI couldn't decide between leaving a 3- or 4-star review for Upfront at first. What won me over was the unique atmosphere of the restaurant, housed in a charming old building with beautiful art on display and a selection of interesting items for sale like cards, jewelry, and scarves. It's a great place to find gifts! The vegan food options are solid but somewhat limited. The main dishes, like the curry and chili, are delicious and satisfying, although more variety would be appreciated. Unfortunately, the only dessert option available is a dry flapjack, and the staff need to be more attentive to marking vegan options on the menu. Speaking of the staff, a notable aspect of Upfront is that they often ignore customers. While other restaurants have service workers who promptly acknowledge waiting customers, the staff at Upfront seem to disregard their presence until they are forced to take their order. This was a strange experience.
The menu is almost all vegetarian and it is really the old school. maybe about half a dozen vegan options, which in anbetracht there are about 30 options of the menu is a little disappointing. I had an salat plate which looked with taking the brokkoli in garlic, was all only healthy but something lacking. I would stop here again as it is much better than a service station and a great location.
One of my favorite dining spots in the lakes! It's a must-visit for me every time I come home. The food is delicious and satisfying, although I wish they offered more milk alternatives besides soy. It would also be nice to have more vegan dessert options, but I always leave feeling satisfied with the generous portion sizes. The artwork on display changes regularly, adding to the overall experience and making it a restaurant worth returning to.
The cafe primarily offers vegetarian options with a few fish dishes available, along with around 3 or 4 vegan choices. While the selection may not be the most diverse, with dishes like one-pot curries, they are still delicious. They also offer vegan fruit crumbles with vegan ice cream and have some regular options with a unique twist. During my three visits, the service was consistently good and the staff were happy to suggest vegan options.
I was not sure if I should leave a 3- or 4-star review for upfront. what sung me is that the gallery is a really interesting place, with a pretty old building, beautiful art to see and great, unusual things to buy (cards, jewellery and accessories like scarf.) this is a perfect place to buy for gifts! the food experience for vegans is solid but limited. the most important courses, in the rule curry and drilling chili, are delicious and satisfying, although I wish there was more variation. Unfortunately, the only cake in the rule is a fairly dry flapjack, and they need to ask the personal because vegan options are not marked. and while we discuss the personal was a striking but consistent feature of upfront that they simply ignore them! in contrast to their average service worker who see someone waiting on the counter, smile and say that we are forced to take their upfront in just one of them. very strange.
