Bidrage med feedbackI was with a 7year old kid and i wanted to treat us with a good restaurant meal after a very nice day experience. After having discussed the details with the owner (or was it a manager i don’t know, the only one who speaks English of the restaurant i concluded that our bill won’t reach 50eur at max. and 35 40 was of more a target. However, how surprised, and which is more important the day mood was spoiled, when i got near 80eur bill!!! For god sake. They counted over 1kg of the fish they cooked only for me costed 57 euro! (Not to mention some misc extras we didn’t order nor used, but that were 1 2eur things. Even if it was 1kg (in stead of 200 300g pre agreed , for god sake, who does cook it for one person ?! The food taste was average. Got better in Spain many times for better value. The most expensive fish meal in my life so far. i should have go dining on the corner and get near the same of 20eur. I didn’t fight the bill as i had near asleep kid on my hands and in order to keep the rest of my good mood. Beware. Don’t go there if you don’t speak Portuguese and/or ready to fight your interests for.
This is one of the best places I had to eat fresh fish Is not the famous restaurant of Peniche but in terms of food is one of my top restaurants All the fish I had here is fresh and local For this resonbi trust this place and I recommend it to all One note is that is a little bit more expensive than the others restaurants
I used to come here to have the great “alfaquique frito com acorda de ovas”. This time I made the same order. But the experience was not the same. The açorda was great as usually. But the alfaquique was not fresh and very dry. Not the really great alfaquique of old times. And the price is absurd. Too high for what you get. Disappointed.
As a group of motorcycle friends, we drove to Peniche and by my previous experience, Restaurante do Parque was our choice for lunch. The best fish and the warmest service in Peniche. I will always come back
The staff are very welcoming and friendly and if you try to speak a little Portuguese with you they will help you and teach you more, this was our experience anyway. We were shown the fresh fish so we could choose what we wanted. Then it is grilled or you can have 'special '. We had grilled 'Cherne ' which was lovely but when the owner cooked the special for another customer he brought it over to us to show what 'special ' was. We had prawns, cheese, pate and bread presented to us on arrival. We also selected 'petingas fritas ' whole cooked crispy sardines as starter and these again were very good. We shared a 'chocolate mousse ' dessert which is very nice but very rich. Overall a very pleasant evening at this restaurant and will definitely go back!
