Il Boccone - Peniche

One of the nicest pizzas in Peniche. They are quite filling, and one Family size is, in my opinion, more than enough for 2 people. Generally I ask for the 4 Stagioni, but if one asks for half 4 Stagioni and half Tonno that is also a very good option. For those that like mushrooms, they use fresh ones. The staff is really friendly, and I was always well received. It is located at one end of the restaurant 's avenue , right by the city council and the city center. They allow us to pay with MBWay, which is quite convient.

2023 is the age of AI and supercomputers, but this restaurant does not accept paying by card. There is no good reason why they won't accept card, when it is made so easy today. Maybe they have something to hide? They do manage though, to have digital cameras all around the restaurant, and even a digital tablet to show the bill... Good service, but quite mediocre food. The pizza base was not very exciting. We had an OK meal, but would probably not return.

Great pizza, amazing staff very friendly would highly recommend! Fantastic location with good wine also!

I was compelled to write a review after my less than satisfactory lunch experience. Given its proximity to the sea (and amazing Portuguese seafood), my spaghetti di seppia with prawns (squid ink spaghetti) was an utter disappointment. The prawns were as tough as tyres and they did not taste fresh (maybe it was cooked in batches, frozen and reheated). The pasta and sauce were passable but definitely, not worthy of an Italian restaurant standard alas, it is not an Italian restaurant but a pizzeria. I should have ordered my husband's pizza which was markedly better. Stick to pizzas in this place!

Had lunch there with my wife. We were hungry, so ordered 32cm pizza marinara. Service was fast and efficient. Pizza was excellent.
