Iguarias Do Mar - Peniche

Visited with my wife on a Tuesday night. We ordered traditional seafood: arroz de marisco. The waiter told us that it would be about 40 minutes. In the end definitely worth the wait. The pot of rice and seafood was seemingly not prepared in the kitchen but was brought in by a Portuguese woman. Don’t know from where. But the taste was great. The staff was very friendly. Recommended! By the way: nice view to the sea.

Very friendly staff accepted our orders for lunch, despite being almost 3 pm fast service. Excellent view over the sea, nowadays quite busy because its beach holidays season. It must be a very nice spot to go lunch or dinner in Spring or Autumn. We had grilled pork cuts secretos and lagartos from animals breed on Alentejo porco preto . People in nearby tables were enjoying nice seafood dishes shrimps, clams, mussels . Nice draught/draft beer to go with the meal. Very good sweet rice and red fruits panna cotta were the desserts, and a good expresso to finish. Cost around 20 € per person. in summary, Iguarias do mar is a nice, no frills place to get a very good seafood or typical Portuguese meal, with very nice and friendly staff and at a decent price. Highly recommended.

We had a delicious fish plate for two persons after which we barely left some place for the dessert. If you want to eat fine food in a cozy place with magnificent sunset views of the beach and Peniche peninsula, this is the place to visit!
