Nasi Kandar Jj - Pengkalan Kundor

Ramli, a former Tabung Haji Chef in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, has opened a nasi kandar-style restaurant due to his vast experience in the culinary world. My family and I have dined here several times, and this time I decided to write a review to spread the word about Hj Ramli Simpang Empat Kangkung in Alor Setar, Kedah. You must come and try the delicious variety of side dishes for yourself. If we don't support Pak Haji, then who else should we support? Don't just stick to supporting Nasi Kandar Mamak. The food at Hj Ramli's restaurant is just as good, if not better, and the prices are more affordable. Come and give it a try!

After arriving on the ferry from Langkawi, we decided to stop at this restaurant for some nasi kandar before continuing on to KL. It is conveniently situated on the road heading south, saving us the trouble of driving north towards Alor Setar city center. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were satisfying. I particularly enjoyed the ayam madu and the deep-fried kangkung was exceptional. Don't forget to request for the mixed gravy!

Simple delicious meals. The food is simple yet delicious, can be quite packed during lunch time. My kinda of favourite lunch ...no frills...highly recomended

Was introduced here to this lovely nasi kandar place in this small town in Kedah. The dining hall is spacious and airy while the choices of food are good. I had deep fried shrimp, beef in dark soya sauce and honey egg all were very nice. The fried shrimp were crunchy, while the beef is tender and tasty. The mixture of sauces were excellent. Overall I would it is a nice and affordable place to eat.

Been here during hari raya holiday, still managed to get a good quality taste. Love the curry gravy! The ayam goreng berempah is tasty n juicy too. If u ask me, i'll totally recommend this place to eat dinner or lunch.
