Bidrage med feedbackA Perfect Date Night. On a lovely spring evening, we had the opportunity to go out since the grandparents were watching the kids. We kicked off our night with drinks and appetizers before heading to the dining room. We enjoyed one of the best meals we've had in a long time—elegant without being too pricey. While there wasn't a main vegetarian entrée (though I didn't ask), I found plenty of options among the soup, salad, appetizers, and small plates to satisfy my vegetarian preferences. The desserts were also outstanding. The service was relaxed yet friendly and attentive. We can't wait to return!
Always a delightful experience! This restaurant offers an array of fantastic options, and we enjoy every dish we’ve tried. The menu, which features locally sourced ingredients, changes frequently, so if you have any dietary restrictions or preferences, it’s best to call ahead to confirm they can accommodate you that evening. They also have rotating specials, including a unique sangria offer.
We were turned away at the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation. I pointed out to the hostess that it was only 4:30 PM and there were no guests sitting at any of the tables—absolutely none. My friend's daughter, who attended college with the chef, had suggested we come at that time. The hostess gave us a blank stare in response. We even had to inquire if there were tables available for the following evening. We ended up booking a table for 4:30 and decided to go across the street to the Blue Heron. We didn't have a reservation there either, but they seated us right away, and we enjoyed fantastic food and service. As for the restaurant we initially wanted to dine at, the menu was extremely limited, and we were very disappointed with the food. I ordered a piece of fish in orange sauce, and that was it—no options for sides. My friend chose the kale salad, but the stems were tough and only drizzled with buttermilk.
This is a fantastic restaurant! We arrived without a reservation and were seated outside in about 15 minutes. The waitress was exceptional and very knowledgeable; she recited the menu and provided great recommendations when we asked. My wife ordered the sangria, which she said was fantastic. I had the catfish and grits, while she chose the pork belly. Both dishes came out quickly and were amazing! We will definitely be returning soon. Pendleton has some wonderful local restaurants in the square, and this one is worth the visit!
Absolutely delightful dining! We were able to advance our reservation from 6pm to 4:30pm without fanfare which was very much appreciated. The decor is very simple, almost austere but elegant in it?s own way and serves as a backdrop to feature the food and drink which are the real reasons folks come to partake. Jeremy was an very nice young man who took very good care of us throughout the evening with his calm demeanor and willingness to help us with choices. The menu is small yet adequate and the wine list is one of the best we have experienced in awhile. Very eclectic and interesting again limited with choices from Austria to Italy, California, etc., but even Lebanon which has very good red wines by the way. We opted for the featured Austrian Riesling which paired perfectly with our greens and peaches salad and wild sea bass dinners. And the wine prices are very reasonable for the quality level. The food was delicious! The emphasis is on quality ingredients, prepared well and designed to please the palate. Portions are perfect but if it?s a lot of food you are seeking, this ain?t the place. It?s fresh, delicious, thoughtful food made to savor and enjoy. Complementary flavors reside in each dish. Conversation food in a relaxed atmosphere that encourages people to linger and enjoy the experience. The final course of fresh decaf coffee with blueberry corn cake was the perfect finale. Absolutely delightful dining!
