This vegetarian restaurant is located a few hundred meters behind and to the right of the hypermarket, in one of the rows of buildings. The restaurant is painted green and has a sign that clearly states 'vegetarian'. Originally named Green Garden, it has a Chinese name. At first, we thought about walking there, but the best option is to take bus 13 since it is quite far from the city. However, be aware that the buses seem to stop running early in the evening (a local mentioned 7:30 p.m.). The food was delicious and very reasonably priced (most dishes ranged from RM 8-12 and you can choose between small, medium, or large portions for most dishes). We ordered four small dishes and rice, which was a lot of food (the small serving sizes are also generous) and it only cost RM 42. They offer a wide variety of veggie meat dishes, tofu dishes, vegetable dishes, rice dishes, iron plate and clay pot dishes, and more. We can't wait to go back!
This vegetarian restaurant is well-known in the city and is always busy during lunch time. The menu offers a wide selection of Chinese Asian dishes. However, it is important to note that many of the sauces used in the dishes are not vegan. For example, oyster mushroom sauce and soy sauce both contain sugar. It is recommended to opt for simpler dishes seasoned with salt, pepper, and spices to ensure they are vegan. Some dishes also contain honey, making it challenging to find truly vegan options at this restaurant. It is advised to double-check with the staff to ensure that the dishes are vegan, as there may be some miscommunication between the order takers and the kitchen. Despite previous reviews mentioning issues with vegan options, improvements should be made to cater to this specific dietary requirement.
This is one of the famous vegetarian restaurants in town, always busy during lunch dinner. A great variety of Chinese/Asian dishes offered in the menu. However, mostly are not vegan since most of the sauces used in vegetarian restaurants in town are vegan ie. oyster mushroom sauce (contains sugar), soy sauce (yes, soy sauce also contains sugar don't be surprised). Thus, I'd still suggest to go for simple dishes using salt, pepper and spices (suggest to confirm if it's house-made or store-bought, then try to figure out if they're vegan). Also note that honey is used in some of the dishes, it's actually not simply walking into a vegetarian restaurant telling the staff no egg no milk then the dishes are vegan. Wish to make this clear as I figured out many of the vegetarian restaurants owners staffs do not understand vegan meaning properly. I've tried asking if any dishes are /vegan and the most common reply is~ yes, everything is su' and they don't serve meat Su includes lacto-ovo vegetarian Several occasions the dishes served were not as requested/vegan, not sure if there was any miscommunication between the order taker kitchen. Simple request to exclude egg in fried rice but was still prepared with egg, tofu dishes served contains egg (do check as there are some tofu is made/mixed with egg).
