I always command the same thing that ruck chicken rice berass and plantains at the first time I go. they accuse them first, then lady comes out to say that they rammt out plantains, but they still calculate another day I go and again after I paid dame says I will get whiter rice because they ran out today and inherited I went to ask the dame in front 2 times ok if she was missing when she had something,

They're not bad. Food is better than other Jamaican restaurants in the area

It’s one of the nicest customer service experience form a Jamaican restaurant. Usually staff at Jamaican restaurant are rude and act like you need them more than they need you. I’m a born and raised Jamaican and I’m not afraid to say it. However, island in the pines is a refreshing experience with their staff. I’ve been going there for 15+ years and yet to have a bad experience. The food is good and the price right!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant ??

Delicious authentic Jamaican food but go early because they run out of some items!

First time diner and definitely not the last when we are in the Ft Lauderdale area. I spoke with Melissa on the phone to inquire about the hours and menu. She was very friendly over the phone. We arrived a few hours later. Melissa was still there. I was placing an order for myself because my husband's stomach was upset. Melissa was concerned about it and offered him fresh ginger to chew on. My order was completed which was delicious! The jerk chicken with cabbage and rice and peas was great! I also ordered fried dumplings which were freshly made and hot! My husband's stomach settled (thanks to Melissa) and he ordered the steamed snapper which he also enjoyed! I recommend this place for great food and service.
