Golden Rule Barbecue - Pell City

Wow! What an amazing barbecue experience! The hay fever appetizer was simply fantastic! Our meals were so generous that we couldn't finish them, so we enjoyed leftovers for lunch the next day! We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back!

Food and service was great, very clean. There were many disabled parking spaces. The muffins are great, and they offer weekly specialties. Like porkchops, shrimps and various vegetables. They also have a variety of desserts including banana pudding.

The food is great! Only on the bottom the people at the window always expect a generous tip. Going $4 on a $20 order is PLENTY, more than anyone should feel inclined to pay for an order. The younger were always so nice until they saw that I didn't give him any money, then his attitude changed completely. That's why I'm not going often.

This restaurant is fantastic!!! I traveled south and I never came over a place with Brunswick Stew and Essigslaw!!! I ordered enough food to keep me three days. The writer in the order window was so brilliant and helpful for us! It made her laugh that I could order the largest vinegar and Brunswick stone. I also ordered the brisket and it came with two sides that, you guessed it, I asked for more vinegarslaw and Brunswick stew! She was so brilliant that she was thrown into something extra corn bread! She did my day and my stay in the area! I wish this place was near my house!

We really enjoy ordering takeout from Golden Rule. The staff is always polite on the phone, and our orders are never incorrect. My family adores the fried catfish dinner, stuffed potatoes, and the half chicken plate. The BBQ plates and sandwiches are exceptional, and if you have any space left, definitely give the lemon pie a try!
