La Gondola Spaghetti House - Pekin

I can't find anything that I dislike or don't appreciate about this place—except maybe the diet soda. I highly recommend trying the Pizza Burger and some of the chocolate chip cookies; they're truly in a league of their own. The girls at the counter are always pleasant and friendly. I can only imagine how busy they must be with all the customers. Stop reading this review and just go! You can thank me later.

Torpedoes are simply the best! Everyone I know who has moved away from the area misses La Gondola more than any other restaurant, even more than Monicals! The torpedoes are fantastic. I particularly love the Pekin location because they really know how to finely chop the salad, whereas the one in Bartonville uses larger pieces. I also appreciate how they keep the menu straightforward and stick to their classic recipes. It's consistently good every time. I just wish they were open on Mondays, as that’s always when I crave it!
