Ichiban Chinese Buffet - Pearl

Stop here for lunch enroute from Houston, TX to Chattanooga, TN. Had a good lunch with options to choose from the buffet. Adults $14.50, Children 6 11) $10, Children <3) $2.72 Pros: 1. Clean restaurant and good furnishings. Feels inviting. 2. Food is fine. Typical for Chinese buffet sites, but no food that was too salty or oily. 3. The sushi bar was good. A range of options to choose from. 4. Appropriate parking Negative: 1. Ice Bar Blue Belleis, but the batch seems old. Had no flavors I would go with. The type of children would choose cotton candy, Blue Blast, etc. 2. Dessert section could be better. Everything was dry; it does not seem as if they were doing the desserts in-house.

This was our first time here, and we were very impressed. There were a variety of options, and something for everyone, including our some picky kids. I really enjoyed the sushi options that were much better than you usually see in a buffet style Asian restaurant. There were several dessert options, but we usually stick with ice. There were 8 varieties to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was also very impressed by the cleanliness and bright atmosphere. Similar restaurants sometimes tend to get a little more down and be dark. We will definitely be back and would recommend this restaurant for friends and family!

Beautiful interior. Average variety with some unique items. Eating a little above average. I liked the wide range of sauces and spices. Prices are on the higher side given the quality of food. Even though their prices are high, I still think it is worth and we will return.

It cost everything. $40 for two. These are drinks. Good.

Nice Japanese buffet. Lots of sushi choices, all you can eat, nice seafood selection of fried shrimp, stir fry shrimp, baked shrimp, fried oysters, scallops, and everything else a traditional Asian buffet would have on it. The staff was attentive and cleared out plates constantly. Drinks were refreshed without asking. Nothing bad to report. Well worth the price.
