We came to Litchfield Beach and Golf resort to spend my husband's birthday weekend We chose Webster's because it was close by and we were tired.
Horribly slow service and a small selection of drinks/foodI ordered a mushroom Swiss burger that tasted like a burnt piece of tire.
This restaurant is not my cup of tea. The bar was filled with loud, boisterous customers on a slow day. The tasting menu offered small portions at a high price. The waitress incorrectly informed me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild, causing me to have a painful experience. They replaced it with asparagus, their only vegetable option. I had to request water as my glass remained empty. The seating consisted of backless benches, but uncomfortable chairs could be requested. This is not a spot for those seeking a balanced meal of protein and veggies. Although I appreciate not feeling overly full, I also don't want to leave hungry. The coffee served after the meal was the only highlight.
4 plates divided. Scallops cooked perfectly, sauce not very aromatic, chased the small amount of peas around the plate. Beet platter was good. Tuna poke had strings of supposedly kelp salad, fries were sparse and not wasabi powder. If more chips were requested, the answer was "not sure but will be checked". Return with 4 chips. It seemed pretty strange that the smoked bluefish and avocado toast was served with bluefish on one toast and avocado on the other.
