Food wasn’t particularly good. Ordered takeout: egg rolls, rangoons, sweet and sour chicken, general’s chicken. Everything tasted generic, like a frozen bag of vegetables covered with a jar of La Choy sauce, reminiscent of what my mom would make in the 80’s. The entrees were packaged in quart containers, which made the breading on the sweet and sour chicken so soggy the texture was off putting. The person working the front and who took my order was nice, but I can’t say anything else about the service. If you have to drive 20 minutes to get to this restaurant like I do, just drive another 10 minutes to go somewhere actually good and different. If you live next door and want to have a midwestern mother’s version of Chinese food, then give it a try.

I absolutely loved the pepper steak dish with added broccoli and snow peas. The service for take-out was excellent and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was top-notch. I highly recommend it for a delicious and affordable lunch option.
