Le Majestic - Pau

I was invited to dinner here as part of a large group. The restaurant is attractive and centrally located, not far from the castle and the picturesque Boulevard des Pyrénées. We ate the following menu: Ballotine de volaille aux champignons et foie gras Filet...de dorade, écrasé de pomme de terre et céleri, huile de chorizo Assiette autour de la mandarine I enjoyed it all.

On the first appearances the restaurant looks pretty formal, but it is good French Dining. The restaurant was full of French on a Saturday lunchtime and felt very relaxing. The services seem to begin slowly, but you need to remember that everything is being prepared...freshly for you and the staff was helpful and attentive. We chose from the 34 Euro menu and each course was a joy, interesting and just the right size part. The sauces were great. Not a big wine list, but something for everyone and the St. Emillion that we chose was excellent.

Tipical French restaurant with local dishes and very good service. Price quality unbeatable. The tables are also beautifully decorated. But first the FOOD. Don't hesitate when you drive past Pau.

I like the goose liver but i cannot eat rare. The price is good as well. But not as amazing as some french restaurant. maybe I got too high expectation.

The majestic bosses have retired and we will regret them.Thank you again for your welcome and thank you again for your very good cuisine, sir. We spent very good times in your restaurant at noon as in the evening. The majestic will remain with your entire team in our hearts. You two have a good retirement. A couple of loyal pale clients.
