Oppa's Kitchen Korean - Pateros

I attended the Balut Festival in Pateros and wanted to grab a bite before enjoying the Balut Beer. I found Oppa's, a nearby Korean grill restaurant that’s conveniently located for local residents. Their all-you-can-eat pork and beef for two hours, priced at Php 499, is a great deal. The selection of banchan is extensive and unlimited. We particularly enjoyed the egg custard (one of the best we’ve tasted), marbled potatoes, and spiced lettuce. The meat was decent, although the pork was quite fatty.

You can find this restaurant on the way from Pateros to Taguig. It's quite small and can accommodate around 10-15 guests, if I’m estimating correctly. The prices are relatively high for a small samgyup (Korean BBQ) place, with a rate of 490 pesos per person. The quality of the samgyup was decent, and the side dishes were fine as well, though the selection was somewhat limited. The staff were very nice and friendly. One highlight of this place is that they offer free dessert, which I hope they continue to do, as it really makes them stand out. I would still recommend this restaurant if you’re looking to avoid the wait at Samgyupsalamat or Romantic Baboy. Let me know what you think after you try it!

The Place restaurant is decent and quite spacious. However, I find it to be a bit overpriced given that they only serve unseasoned meat. I think the service could improve, as there were only two waitstaff on duty, and they seemed overwhelmed with all the tasks at hand. As for the food, the meat was okay; the cuts were thick, but so were the layers of fat. The side dishes were passable, though I was disappointed in one of my favorites, the Algamja Jorim (braised baby potatoes), which turned out to be overly salty. Additionally, the type of lettuce they provided was more suited for salads; I distinctly remember having a different variety at other KBBQ places.

Feb 16: I am disappointed, the romaine lettuce was replaced with the iceberg or regular one (not so fresh). I do not eat the lettuce at samgyupsalamat or other korean resto if it is not fresh or if it is the regular lettuce as it is faster to wither than the romaine one and i think it is harder to clean. Also, no more kamote slices given to us and fewer side dishes were served. You guys should stick to what you were doing at first as doing the same thing as other unli korean bbq resto will do you no good. Feb 12: Went back here and the reason why we eat here is because of their romaine lettuce, side dishes and kamote slices. I also think the side dishes improved and there a lot more options than the previous visit we had. Will come here again and again. November 22, 2018- Not loving or hating this place. Price is the same as the other korean bbq buffets. Love the romaine lettuce, the kimchi fresh salad and kamote slices.

Food was okay but the service was down poor. we've been to places like this and the service were far off better. this place needs a staff makeover.
