Easter brunch in the ballroom was fantastic! The buffet choices were perfect and so many options! Beautifully decorated and elegant ambiance! Would definitely do this again!
I feel as though this should almost be two separate reviews. We booked the reservation through OpenTable. There was no information on the listing that would have alerted us that there are actually two separate brunch seatings. One, in the Huntington Ballroom is a family oriented, children’s event. I differentiate between an event being child- friendly, and an event being for children, the event in the Huntington Ballroom was FOR children. There was Easter candy, and the Easter Bunny, children running everywhere, playing on the floor, the whole 9 yards. I’m a parent, when my children were little this would’ve been great. As someone who now has adult children with whom I hoped to have an upscale Easter brunch, this was not the experience I paid $175/pp to attend. We found it unbearable after sitting down at our table for only about 2 to 3 minutes. We were very happy that they were able to change our reservations to the other seating downstairs at the Terrace Restaurant. On the other hand, the brunch seating in The Terrace, restaurant was lovely. The food was wonderful, the service was great. The noise level and ambience were really enjoyable. It was also about $50 a head cheaper. This is the experience I would have booked if the information had been clearer. It turned out to be a really nice afternoon.
We went to the restaurant for Easter Sunday with the family. The staff at the reservation desk were very friendly and quickly resolved our seating issue. There was a cute photo section with the Easter bunny and a beautifully decorated dessert table in the hallway with bunny eggs. We attended the 11am Easter egg hunt in the garden, which also had a train ride. The train ride experience was not great as people did not form a line and we ended up missing the first two trains. After finally getting on the train, we checked in for our reservation, which had a quick-moving line. The food was okay, with the salmon being a standout. It was difficult to get a server's attention for drinks, but eventually, we got help from a server named Felipe who was very attentive. Overall, it was a nice experience to try once for Easter Sunday brunch, but we are unsure if we would go back again.
The event was enjoyable, but there was a shortage of tables and chairs at first. The staff quickly worked to accommodate everyone, but it was inconvenient. The food could have had more variety considering the price paid.
