Bidrage med feedbackStopped here on a whim after a convention and discovered some really good, quirky food! Service is excellent. Food arrives quickly. The establishment is pretty big, so there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Restrooms are clean. Parking is in the garage next door or on the street. I visited just before 5pm on a Friday, and it was still relatively quiet. The patio was empty; there were more people inside, but it seemed to stay at a mild noise level. If you order nothing else, order the deviled eggs! I'm not usually a fan, but these are so good. Their pizza is very flavorful and filling (one small pizza is great for one person). I love the different, unique topping combinations they offer. If you like garlic and onions and want to try something new, definitely order the Crybaby. I wish I lived closer so that I could make my way through their pizza menu. Definitely give them a try if you're in the area!
The Gist: Food was WAAAAYYYY overpriced. 70 bucks for two people (1 dish and 1 soft drink each). Ninja please! I know we are in the Bidenomic era but damn. I just can 't see how that makes any sense for a Sunday (march 12th) brunch and then, to top it off, being charged for food we didn 't order (see next paragraph: The Rub). The Rub: I had already payed with my credit card and then took a look at the shocking 70 dollar bill (Yes I know I should have checked it first) and these morons charged me for the kids pancake (8.xx bucks) that the people next to us had ordered. I brought it up to the smug waiter and he came back with a supposed adjusted receipt but upon checking my credit card I was charged for the 70 bucks! Not a sorry or acknowledgement of his wrong doing. So yeah, never coming here again! The Food: food was good (the burger I ordered was good but not easy to handle since it was so messy) but I just can 't get past spending 70 bucks for two people for brunch. I guess they didn 't get the memo: this isn 't Beverly Hills! This is Del Mar gold line station in Pasadena! The Service: The waiter, not once, came to ask me or my date if we wanted some more to drink. When it came time to pay the bill, dude stood and watched me as I reluctantly pressed 18% (the lowest tip option) on the credit card swipe machine. He definitely did not deserve 18%. Hell I don 't think he deserves 15%. Just another reason why tipping is a sham. Don 't tip! Fight the power! The First Red Flag: After much research the day before, we had planned to go to the Luggage Room then hit the central park after, but what they don 't tell you on Google Maps or even Yelp is that the actual Luggage Room is open but completely run down and/or shut down. We looked around and found the luggage room but it was an empty bar that shares a patio with this other restaurant La Grand Orange. It was so confusing since the website showed it was open. We looked around and this waitress from the patio waived us down to come to the their side. I kept asking is this the luggage room and she was like yes it is and then I look at the entrance and it says La Grande Orange. At this point I just ran with it. Looking back we should have not ignored that red flag and went elsewhere. I suggest you do the same. Summary: If you want to be a high end restaurant that over charges for simple foods like eggs and cheeseburgers then be my guest but don 't advertise that you 're affordable when clearly you 're not. Oh and don 't charge people for things they didn 't order. So simpo!

Happy hour specials on Monday and Tuesday nights help in these days of inflated pricing. The working class should get a break every now and then. We love coming here to relax after busting rocks in the quarry all day long. Our party of 4 had a couple salads, a pizza from our good mama Earth, and a veggie black bean burger. Everything was pretty good except the black bean burger. It had no taste really and I would not recommend it for a non meat option. There are tastier veggie items on the menu. I would have given 4 stars had it not been for the black bean burger. Parking in the nearby metro parking deck is validated for about 2 hours. Easy spot to reach if you take the train, it is near the station.
This was our first time here, highly recommend this place. I would love to return during the day on a weekend. Staff are super friendly, Tyler was our waiter and Nicole the manager was fabulous. We ordered lots of good items: deviled eggs, chopped salad (golden raisins and pistachios and green olives in champagne vinaigrette yum! , hubby ordered margherita pizza, I ordered the fallen angel (roasted peppers, sausage, shaved fennel, basil both were fantastic! I ordered an Old fashioned, was good but next time I'll try the Money or your Life (suggested by staff with less sweetness. Ended our evening with their well known key lime pie, look at the pic it is beautifully layered and the top layer was silky smooth, not too sweet which I loved. Thank you Nicole for your hospitality and welcoming spirit, we were already sold after our meals but your personality makes us feel like we made a friend, see you soon!! Best part, Mon/Tuesday dinners are second dinner $5, are you kidding me? This food was delicious!!! Oh and happy hour from open to 7pm, 1/2 off drinks let's go!!
