Riverwalck Saloon - Parryville

The outdoor dining atmosphere was lovely. The food was decent, but the wait to get to our table was unacceptable. It took nearly an hour for two dishes with small portions, which really messed up our plan for a quick lunch. To make matters worse, our waitress didn’t even bring utensils to our table with the food. If they were short-staffed (as many places seem to be these days), it would have been better if they had just informed us that there would be a wait of a certain amount of time. In that case, we would have happily looked for another place to eat.

Definitely an interesting environment. Lots of outdoor dining available. The meals were just a bit on the expensive side but the food was good. We sat at a table overlooking a stream. If you're looking for a quiet dining place, this is not your venue.Definitely a lot of action going on all of the time.

I took a trip to Parryville, PA, in Carbon County and enjoyed some delicious BBQ ribs with black beans and coleslaw on the side. The ribs were incredibly tender, practically falling off the bone. My server, Melissa, was excellent and even offered me some homemade wing sauces that paired perfectly with both the ribs and the beans, which I usually spice up with a mild Latin flavor. Although I'm not a fan of IPAs, they have a fantastic selection of craft beers, so I opted for a reliable PBR to wash down my meal. If I didn’t have to drive, I might have indulged in a Jägermeister for digestion purposes, of course. Who knows, maybe I’ll treat myself to a motel for the night!
