Hokee Poke - Parkway-South Sacramento

This is my favorite poke place. The employees are nice and helpful.

My husband and I tried Hokee Poke for the first time and were both severely disappointed. While the Spam Musubi was actually really tasty, both of our Regular Poke Box ordered were just not good. You are only able to get one sauce (our revalue place was closed already, but you get three sauces), and there either was no flavor or they barely put any sauce to add any sort of flavor. I am all for raw seafood, but this fish tasted a bit too "fishy", which makes me question its freshness. Because of the lack of sauce, both the fish and rice were quite dry. They also put the rice on top of the fish, which seemed odd to me since the rice is there to soak up the sauce. Overall this was bland, questionably not fresh, and we will not be returning.

The food was well-packaged, with no spills, and the raw fish arrived fresh and ready to enjoy.

The Regular Poke Box was enjoyable, but I think the crab salad I ordered with it overshadowed the entire meal due to its large portion compared to the rice and fish.

One of my favorite places for Poke! The staff is always friendly, and the food is consistently excellent. You get great value for your money, with generous portions and a wide variety of options. Highly recommend!
