Bidrage med feedbackI visited this restaurant in March 2017 and had already eaten there before. I ordered duck curry, coconut rice, and banana fritter with ice cream. My order arrived in just 15 minutes after placing it. The food was incredibly tasty, especially the coconut rice and banana fritter. The bananas had a crunchy texture from being coated in coconut before being fried. The duck curry was good, but I would ask for it to be mildly spicy next time. This Thai restaurant is my go-to spot and I highly recommend it for quick and delicious service.
The decor of this suburban restaurant was warm, comfortable, and cozy. The presence of other diners indicated a positive sign. The service was attentive and water was promptly brought to the table. The food arrived quickly after ordering. Both the Thai and Curry dishes were delicious and satisfying, but I found them to be on the sweeter side which may not be to everyone's taste. The curry contained sizable pieces of tender meat. Overall, it was good value for the quality of food and I would definitely consider returning.
New name is Mae ping imperial. Was empty, but thought why not! It was excellent! I was in Thailand and Thai food in Australia is nothing compared to traditional Thai, this restaurant is one of the closest to what I had in a long time, Thai staff and Thai beers. Even if it's empty, I suggest you dive and it's all under $20! Will definitely return.
Had a friend here and everyone really enjoyed their meal. In fact, the friend we took, said it was the best curry he ever had, and told the staff. He had the duck curry and my husband had the Thai green curry with tofu. both had a lot of sauce, more like a soup, but with a lot of rice they managed to raise it. I had the chicken pillow thai, that was excellent. Everything was full of taste and the portions were generous. The waitress was not very friendly and never brought us a drink menu when we arrived directly on the food order. Getting a beer wasn't easy, and after the first we never had the chance to get a second. Apart from that, it was great, but, and certainly not spoiled the evening.
Pleasant enough restaurant with trendy, basic decor and a nice atmosphere. Unfortutale the food let it down. The Thai Green Curry was really sweet, like a lot of sugar had been added, although the roti was excellent. I had the prawn special, which I had...asked about the heat of. The server said it was a hot dish but that it could be made mild, which I requested. I like a bit of chilli, but this was so hot my mouth was numb. Spoiled the experience totally. Portion size was good, as was the draught Thai beer. May have been a mistake, but wouldn't go back.
