Powder - Park City

Waldorf please do better…regardless of how talented Powders Chef is the staff is needs serious work. We stay at The Waldorf often and this is a poor representation of your brand. There were 3 tables occupied at 10:30 on a Sunday. The hostess said it would be 20 min for our party of 4! I asked how can that be the restaurant is empty. “Sorry we need to clean tables”. I can see 10 available clean tables. Powders management continues to be the let down of the Waldorf sadly.

After our server brought water, he disappeared. Twenty minutes later, I went to the bar and ordered drinks because no one waited on us. BTW, the restaurant was almost empty. Finally Ulysses (sp? came over, apologised for the delay, and provided Waldorf-Astoria type service. He did a commendable job.

We have been to this restaurant several times in the past and have been very satisfied. We came for a special anniversary of ours. The initial service was fairly slow, but the server was very pleasant. We placed our orders. There were four of us. All four got our food at the same time. The chicken for one of us was raw and uncooked. We sent it back immediately. The other three of us finished our meal and the chicken had not yet been returned to the table. We canceled the order for the chicken. Apologies were given, and some credit for the meal was given. This did not make up for the fact that the chicken was undone and was never returned cooked to the table. we will never return to this restaurant again. 

My wife and I had dinner at Powder on Father's Day to celebrate. It was a wonderful experience. The food was terrific, as was the setting. The Chef came out at one point to meet us, which was a nice touch. I would go again. Great time!

Powder has been excellent in every way! The food, service, staff has made it so wonderful for our stay here. We have some special circumstances and the staff has been so kind and accommodating. Sure it is expensive but its the waldorf people!
