Sunday afternoon, 18th June 2017 I was in the area and decided to go somewhere for food and a cool drink. O'Sullivans looked inviting as it was not full and the Air Conditioning was a welcome reliefI was alone but on looking at the menu, I saw that they had one of my favourite foods .. Nacho Chips & Dips. I reckoned €12 was a bit over the top but as it was listed on the menu as good for 2 people, I decided to go for it.Now, I have had Nachos in restaurants all over the world, so have come to expect a certain standard. This level was totally smashed by the item that was brought out to me.To say It was disappointing would be a huge understatement, I was actually shocked. It looked like someone had just opened a small pack of chips, tossed them on a small plate and added to small side bowls of "stuff". One of the bowls had so little in the bottom of it, I could see the baseAfter getting over the initial shock, I called the server over and asked to speak with the Manager. I told the server I was not prepared to pay €12 for the "Nachos". He was very polite and apologetic. The manager came to speak to me and he also was polite and apologised, stating that he does not set the prices but he did agree it was too much for what I got.I returned the Nachos without touching any part of it and had a pint of "Paris Priced" beer which, although expensive is the same in all the tourist areasBe aware folks, do not be brow beaten into paying any price for food that you consider bad value. The more customers that hand it back and say no to bad value, means those following after us stand a better chance of getting decent value
I went with friends, the place was crowded, so we guessed it was really good. Too much people actually, it was too hot and couldn't dance at all because there was no space. We then tried to drink something and that has been the worst surprise: 12,60€ for one cocktail! It's expensive even for Paris. Also the dj wasn't that good, he mixed changing tracks every minute, didn't even gave you the time to start to dance and the track already changed :D so, yeah, bad experience for me.
A nice Irish Pub, just where you begin your climb to Montmarte. Very close to Moulin Rouge. They have the usual Guinness. The burgers are extremely nice and very heavy.I went in the afternoon, so we were pretty much the only people there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of our friends was vegetarian, and the lady really went out of her way to get him good stuff to eat as she was vegetarian herself. And, this is the only place I've seen where they give Pepsi instead of coke. There is a smoking section inside, so one needn't go out to the heat, with a drink, to enjoy a smoke.
