Restaurant Chen Soleil d'Est

Delicious food and thoughtful presentation. Unfortunately atmosphere not very cozy, service very attentive though a little stiff. WiFi didn't work.

I came with visitors from China, who were tired of Euro fare, so I was trying to find a good Chinese Restaurant. We took the top menu and enjoyed every course of carefully, but individually prepared plates, like french cuisine. My Chinese guests were very complimentary and discussed the food with our host, who has worked in China starting french restaurants and that was how he came up with the idea for this restaurant. Some will find it pricey, but compared to similar quality french restaurants, it is a real bargain. I would definitely like to come back on a future visit.

Excellent food but how did they choose this location in a terrible neighboroud. Pricey.

It's uncommon to find a really good chinese restaurant, with quality products, a balanced use of spices and good service. Nevertheless, it doesn't justify IMHO the huge prices. The 3 plates duck is worth trying, though.

I wasn't expecting much from the outside, but it was a satisfactory meal. lacquered duck and halibut dishes are recommended.
