L'Express de Lyon - Paris

My partner and I came here is hope to get out of the lashing rain. Little did we know that we were in for a treat! This places brews it's own beer. It's amazing! And worth the price you pay. We were greated with a warm welcome (our waiter spoke very good and clear english) We had French onion soup and then dessert and enjoyed every last mouthful. Beautiful good, friendly and welcoming atmosphere very attentive but not in an overbearing way and we where pleasantly surprised and the bill (which included 20% service charge) We came back here on our last night and again we really enjoyed our visit. Would totally recommend!

Had researched this places and knew they had an array of outstanding beers on offer. Just so happened my hotel was within walking distance. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for some lunch with wife and 2 young kids. Staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu which was reasonable prices for Paris. Food went down a treat along with the awesome beers. Didn't have time to return again due to our short trip time but will definitely return it back in the area. Ps I read some reviews this place wasn't overly child friendly but I found it to be the opposite and noted a good few other children in the place.

This was my favorite craft beer sport during a week-long visit to Paris – I visited it 4 of my 7 days in Paris. There are so many positives to this unassuming craft beer bar. Express de Lyon is located near a metro stop making it easily accessible from any part of Paris. FREE and reliable WiFi … gotta have this when posting check-ins on Untappd. Chill crowd … this is very much a locals place which I really enjoyed … not obnoxious tourists getting drunk, just a nice and respectable local clientele. Didn’t see any kids, so I wouldn’t classify it as family friendly. The craft beer selections were outstanding … the tap list rotates frequently ensuring always something new and fresh. The food is solid … pretty broad range of food items making this places ideal for a quick snack or a full blown lunch / dinner. The prices here are a steal compared to other Paris craft beer spots … by far this is the most inexpensive place in Paris to purchase craft beers. At the time of my visit the owner was working behind the bar … he was support cool, friendly and we talked a lot about the rising craft beer scene in Paris … he allowed me to try various samplers before I committed to a full pint. Express de Lyon definitely flies under the radar … but I highly recommend visiting this place and enjoying several well priced pints in an extremely enjoyable atmosphere.

I went there by chance and I didn't regret anything. The kitchen is simple but very correct. a tip: take a beer pressure, they're top. service is very nice and super efficient. You just have to go to this place if you're a lyon station!

I was very surprised because this bistro is in front of the train station and yet it is not too expensive (Parisian prices anyway) and good.
