Bidrage med feedbackWe rent an apartment in the 8th arrondissement each September a few blocks from the beautiful La Reserve Hotel. We LOVE Le Bar at La Reserve. It is cozy and romantic with warm service and delicious food. To the person who wrote the review regarding decor......this hotel is historic, decorated in a beautiful, lush Napoleonic style.....reds and and golds and gorgeous French taste. Parisian opulence all the way. This is a 5 star property and in my opinion, the most beautiful with the best service from the moment you enter to the minute you say good night. The service could not be better. Roxanne and Tini in Le Bar always take care of us and remember us. Cuisine from the Brasserie and the bar menu is wonderful....the BEST cured salmon carpaccio and delicious burrata....a croque monsieur with truffles....so good. Wine list by the glass is excellent and the cocktails are special!!!! I hope next year we will be invited into the library to hear piano music ; Still our favorite place to have late night drinks or dinner at Le Gabriel in Paris. 5 star
We didn't stay at this hotel. I wish we had. We came in for a drink and it made our whole trip we met the best people and most of all the bar man tin was the best. He was amazing and a real gentleman and made us feel so welcome I would recommend this place 100% for drinks and food and ambiance
We came here for drinks. Some friends from the USA were staying at the hotel. I did not see the guest rooms. The bar decor looks like it came from a Disney set ... overdecorated and not very sophisticated. Something you rarely find in Paris but it does happen. Please redecorate and lighten up on the style. Or you can go to another 5* hotel nearby. The drinks were very pricey and considering the atmosphere it just wasn't worth it. The staff however were young, charming and helpful. This was the bright side of our visit.
I had previously written about the hotel but i do want to focus on the excellence of the food. The saint Jacques were delicious and extremely fresh, all allergies were accommodated and I felt truly valued as a client.
My wife and I wanted to have a nice cocktail on our last night in Paris so we stopped in after dinner at Le Souffle. The service was fast, friendly and just overall top notch. The cocktail I had was quite good, but not the best I've ever had. My wife's cocktail was probably better. The problem was that I've had better cocktails (granted not at a Paris hotel bar) for less than half the price. I wouldn't have minded paying 15E for them; it would've been expensive but probably about on point. 29E though...they just weren't that good. I've had great cocktails in a lot of cities and those were not near the top of my list, while being by far the most expensive I've ever had.
