Bidrage med feedbackThe Tunisian-borne owner/waiter is delightful and certainly knows his wine and cheeses. We went for a wine and cheese tasting and he suggested we add some ham varieties as well. Beware, it's open for lunch but not open mid-afternoon. There are very few tables, maybe two tables to seat six each and two two-seater outside. Republique is the closest metro. The canal across the street makes for an interesting stroll.
Located in the Canal St. Martin area, this little wine and cheese place was a perfect stop! The staff are extremely attentive and kind and recommend wines and cheeses to suite your personal taste! We ended up spending quite some time here.
We were looking for a wine bar and ended up stopping here as we had a few hours before dinner. We ended up wishing we hadn't made dinner plans! The service was wonderful, as was the wine, cheese, and meat. We started by selecting a bottle of wine (you can choose bottle or order by glass but bottle is better if you're getting cheese/meats as well) then our server carefully curated a selection of three cheeses. We had goat, cow, and sheep milk cheeses, all of which were fantastic. A bottle of wine, three cheeses, and one meat for our group of 4 was about 15 Euros each, which I found to be very reasonable. I will definitely be returning!
We really enjoyed our visit. The owner is an expert in cheese and very friendly. He also speaks English well, which non-french speaking visitors like us know how precious it is to find. They didn't have a menu, but we ended up happy with what he suggested to us.
Me and my wife spent about 3 hrs in here...we came to Paris for a concert and we wanted to have an early dinner so around 4 we went here and spent almost 3 hrs!!!! The 2 person working there knows everything you need to know about cheeses and hams and wine so they can really customize the menu for your tastes. We had 3 splendid cheeses (and huge portions too) one goat one cow and one mixed plus French ham, Italian ham and one special thing I never tried: raw ham from beef. Beautiful. We had plenty of good bread (and of course butter!) and wine was stunning. The combinations proposed were excellent and we ate so much that we didn't eat anything else at night (we were still fully satisfied at 12 am and we are people who likes to eat a lot). It was the best tasting I have ever done (so far) and I have done many! At the end we paid around 70 euro for all this plus 5 glasses of wine (and they offered a delicious cider at the end). We were very happy to invest 3 hrs out of our 36 hrs planned in Paris and we don't regret it! I would suggest this place to all cheese and ham passioned people, you are going to love this place for the rest of your life ;-)
