Garance - Paris

I'm just going to say it in my wonderful crass American wayIt is complete bullshit that Garance only has one star.

My boyfriend and I had the 5 course tasting menu + wine pairing for dinner our last night in France.

Despite the fact that this is the only review on yelp, Garance is definitely worth going toEvery single day for lunch and dinner if possibleNo joke.

A high-quality dinner. well finished and tasteful dishes with a search for flavors always consistent and never shifted. excellent fish and excellent meat. exceptional wines map. We chose a glass tasting. Very well.

We had dinner at 3 for dinner in August. The evening really wasn't up to...To start the room: we were placed in the main room or the number of tables is clearly too important. To give an idea, the person on the wall couldn't get out of the table without I getting up and pushing my chair...The air conditioning was very strong and the aeration pointes directly on the tables (we were 3 tables to ask that the air conditioning be cut). Regarding the service, although warm I am sorry to say that it is not the standing that we wait in a starred restaurant: the wine is not served once on 2, that one bread offered, a sommelier who was not really one for the advice of the two bottles. Once again, it is difficult for the room team to be able to provide a high-quality service given the understaff that we had during our evening. Regarding the plate, a presentation not really surprising and only a dish really scotched us. I absolutely don't want to look hard or too critical but since January we have already made 8 star restaurants and unfortunately this one has been a disappointment for 150€ per person. I hope I could have been as descriptive as possible in order to help the establishment as much as possible.
