Nice and polite staff, entertaining ambiance and the real spirit of Paris. Nice prices and inventive cocktails for those who want to explore the cocktail world
I've just read the other 4 (French) reviews and, well, it wasn't our experience. On a wet night, the friendly waiter kept seats for us, fixed a wobbly table and did a great job. Particularly as this little bar is split in two by a house entrance so the kitchen is one side and the bar the other! But the little court here, the old stables, is full of restaurants so a great ambience. You can see from the menu that it is "light bites", but in fact, I ordered the pork belly "lacquered" with teriyaki and he came back, very apologetic that, having cooked the last of it, there was not enough to make a full portion. He offered it to me "en cadeau" (free) and asked me too choose another. The plates remind me of Spanish "raciones", bigger than a tapa but smaller than a main course. The pork belly was DELICIOUS, as were the green peppers which I had instead. My partner had the pulled pork sandwich which she really enjoyed, very gingery although it did look pretty small compared to a normal one. But as I say, these are more like big tapas than main courses. The cost was 22 Euros, 4 each for a nice glass of red wine, 7 each for the pulled pork and grilled peppers. We'd both go again.
A tester, vraiment !
