Bidrage med feedbackVery good restaurant. we took the 35€ menu and were very impressed by the quality of the various dishes. the wine recommended by our waitress was also very good
Very comfortable and fantastic eating. note that it is a little expensive at 30euro per person, but the situation cannot beat.
The lunch follows the traditional codes all the way away and it is not so bad to experience a very traditional place from time to time. the restaurant is located in a hotel behind high doors...and very old fashion, not so bad, but the service is efficient no problem and the menu provides all classics. However, the result on their platte rain location unobstructed: some quite good (the bark,) usually averaged (the sole) and the worst among the expectations (the eier.) all for a fairly solid price. obviously not scandalous, but there are probably better possibilities in the city.
The chef here can certainly cook and presents his dished with imagination, for example a 'snail ' as garnish in the form of a real snail shell but with a carved radish as the 'snail ' and cloves for his horns. Food that looks good and tastes...good and not overpriced. And with a really excellent list of Burgundy wines, plus a respectable choice from other regions. The restaurant is obviously a 'destination ' locally and for business travelers using the hotel; it could be wise to book a table when you book your room, especially if you like to eat at a particular time. Sadly the service let the chef down, one somewhat dour lady, assisted from time by what I assume to be the proprietress or 'Madame ', but with a 'take it or leave it ' approach that 's quite unusual for France these days.
We really enjoyed our meal here. The food is very good as are the wines; the dining room is a small, high ceilinged and quite lovely place to enjoy a meal and the value for money was excellent. The only thing letting the whole lot...down was a new waiter, hopelessly under trained by his employer. Having our order taken took an aeon, Aperitifs arrived only just before entrees, bread arrived with mains so missed out on being enjoyed with our soup and the entire service was sloppy and painful to watch! This was not our new waiters fault but rather the fault of an employer that puts an inexperienced staff member on the front line with inadequate training supervision. But despite this, it was still a very enjoyable evening.
