Jiji's - Paramaribo

Ji ji’s restaurant is located in the first floor of the SMS driver and has a great view over a part of the water and suriname river. the map is arranged with a local and international kitchen. prices are quite cheap for what they get and eating tastes great. the service is a little time-consuming. so is the tip of the day; call their order and tell them what they want and what time they will be there. it worked very well for us. net even 3 minutes when we were in our eating was on the table while others wait at least 30 minutes.

The place is nice, the food is a lot, so go hungried.

Location's a bit off the usually beaten track, but security isnt compromised. The riverside view and breeze definitely add to the ambience and allows you to relax into your experience whilst taking in the glimmer of Paramaribo at night. Food is great, with an especial focus on bringing out local flavour; definitely will fill you up too, so go hungried, but not too much, as wait times are horribly long. My appetizer wasnt well plated, but it definitely made up for that in flavour and texture. If you're on a budget, there's a deal of the day option which is no less delectable than any of the other offerings. The great selection of regional, local and international wines and other liquors was my personal favourite. Facility is kept clean, but washroom lighting can definitely do with an upgrade. Lighting in the dining area is perfect for an enjoyable evening with friends, family or other loved ones. All this, with sweet notes of local and regional music make this setting enjoyable.

The first time I went there the food was amazing but the second time not so much. I can't complain about the service because everybody was nice

Went there last Saturday with my wife and another couple, we got there right when they opened so there were not many people there. The view of the river is nice and the breeze feels really good! Their Mojitos are good but not the best I've ever had. I gave it 2 starts because the food we ordered took a little bit over an hour to be served! It was ok, not great, and my wife's food was not even hot. So if you decide to go there be prepared to wait a looooong time to get your food. I don't think we'll go back, at least not for food, maybe (just maybe) to get some drinks.
