Green Bamboo - PANANIA

This has been our local or last 13 years.The quality is first class. Yen works the front room, husband runs the kitchen.The cuisine is Vietnamese fusion.Recommend the salt and pepper squid, coconut lamb curry, fried rice and desert the fried banana.BYO but has small wine selection. Local and imported beers. The Vietnamese beer is 333 or ba ba ba. The surprise is a great cup of coffee.Spotless toilets. Attentive staff but never in your face.

A family of 4 ( two adults & 2 kids aged 6 & 9 ) wanted to try out local restaurant on Monday night. We have orders valued around $ 50. The supervisor came out & said it was not enough & said minimum order $20 per person. How ridiculous & absurd !!! There's no notice / signs suggested that mininum spending $20 per person. Otherwise we would NOT have walked in.We encourage other diners who have bad experiences with "Green Bamboo" Vietnamese Restaurant @ Panania to write reviews to reflect their level of service & absurd practices. Just wondering if we could make a compliant to Fair Trading Department about its practices !We definitely will tell our friends DO NOT go to that restaurant ! PS - Green Bamboo Vietnamese Restaurant @ Panania deserves NO star in my opinion, however has to give one start in order to post this review.1

First time using Green Bamboo as a takeaway still the best. Always to much food and always the best quality.

A family group of 11 of us went to Green Bamboo to celebrate my sister's birthday. Had a banquet where they allowed us to select our own dishes and the food was delicious with genorous servings that satisfied everyone's appetite (and we had a couple of big eaters!).Reasonable priced at $40 a head and service throughout was great. Highly recommend!

Over the years we came here when we could as it is a long way from where we live. The food was good but last time we were there, the owner was just plain rude yelling at us when we walked in (after trying to ring ahead and book a table) that she couldn't understand us on the phone. Tonight was the ultimate when we sat down and ordered what we normally have, to be told that we had to spend $20 per head. I said we are having what we had last time we were here and it was acceptable then. The waitress went away and after a long time returned to say we could order. We lost our appetite after their appalling attitude and left. We will never return. Behaviour like this is just plain disgusting and I've never ever been told I had to spend a minimum amount to dine at any other venue I've been to.
