The Quarter Deck - Panaji

This place has always been a personal favorite since childhood. The ambience and the view is soo good, but it is not maintained well. Management needs to work on it.<br/ The food on the other hand is quite good. The harabhara Kebab were very good.<br/ Chicken lollipop could have been better. Had too much batter.<br/ The fried rice was decent.<br/ The tandoor fish here is yum!<br/ Overall service was very good too.<br/

A restaurant with the view of the sea and all the casino boats, this place is definitely a must visit if you are in Goa and in Panaji. The food is well prepared, with good portions.I've visited this place number of time and never been disappointed. Tried their fish and chips, prawns papad, baked crabs, fish curry rice, prawns xacuti. Definitely recommend this place. :

Amazing ambience with a wonderful view of the river Mandovi... the food was sumptuous with prices which do not burn a hole in your pocket... the staff very polite and quick... on my list of wanna visit again

Rating 4 especially because of the view.<br/ <br/ I went to this place on a quiet afternoon, my hotel was just in front of it.<br/ The riverside place is so perfect, it offers you a nice company for a quiet meal.<br/ <br/ I ordered prawns curry and rice. Freshly steamed rice, aromatic and perfectly spiced prawns curry, arrived with complimentary kismoor coconut fry a konkani dish made from dried small prawns). A note for people who cannot tolerate smelly fish: Kismoor has a very strong smell of dried prawns and coconut. If you are not going to eat it, tell them in advance.<br/ <br/ For dessert, I ordered bebinca. It is a goan specialty- 7 layered sweet made of eggs, coconut and cinnamon. It was delicious. I also got a piece packed to eat it later with coffee.<br/ <br/ The serving was nice and prompt. The place is clean, looks pretty especially in the evenings. <br/ I took my family there again for dinner one day. <br/ <br/ Recommended for people who like riverside views and non-AC restaurants.
