Harvest Room - Palos Heights

This place does some things exceptional and others are a little surprising. The sticky bread pudding is so good. The chicken and waffles is also amazing but they were out of waffles, at 10:30am????, so I tried chicken and biscuits which was also amazing. My son loved the pancakes, eggs, and sausage. The kids sliders were just ok and they don't have American cheese so my 6 year old was not a fan. The salad, was just bad which seems wrong for a place like this. The lettuce was mostly white, bland, and overly crunchy, the chicken was rubbery and dry, and the dressing tasted bottled so I'd say maybe avoid this.

So I called Harvest Room today, 12/27/2023, at 12:05 pm looking to place an order for pickup. I was told We 're not taking orders right now now because we 're too busy. Try calling back in 20 minutes. No apology. Just a click. The customer service in this place is laughable. Their food is just okay. Yet the place was packed. This place continues to disappoint. The owners should try looking at their Yelp comments once in a while.

Me and my guest were sat at 2:03pm and not greeted until 2:17pm??? Every time I come here the service is bad. Usually the food is really good so I don't mind the bad service but the food wasn't even good today. The food didn't take long at all but our waitress made a remake about the cooks not liking how the plate came out originally so they remade it? Which then it was served cold when we got it? How is it served cold if they just remade it? Idk seems weird. Normally I wouldn't complain but the restaurant was mostly empty so it's frustrating to constantly have a bad experience here. Oh and I can't forget to mention the long strands of hair that were served with the check. Honestly would never return based on this last visit

This place is known for their brunch! Since they do not take reservations o please call to see if you need to be added to their waitlist. The staff and service was great! The manager came by to see how we're things which was a nice touch. This place is busy and they serve you quickly. You must try the monkey bread! It was not sweet but just right and they serve it with a custard sauce which pairs deliciously with the bread. The waffle was very light and delicious as well. There was no complaints with the food and the omelette and bug breakfast entrees were large for you to take home. A great spot for brunch!

This is one of our go to restaurants. The food, cocktails, and service are always good. They have a nice little bar too if you just want to have some drinks. One thing very unique about this place is that they have a full menu of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free dishes. This alone sets it apart from 90% of the restaurants in the south suburbs. It's a nice restaurant all around. Would definitely recommend.
